I feel like all of my blog posts start out this way, but sorry AGAIN for the lack of keeping up with my blog. I've decided to do a small post for each of the days that I have left here. We leave for Galilee in less than a week for 10 days. So I won't be able to post during that time, but hopefully I'll be able to catch up on everything that I have missed for the past month or so.
TURKEY
I already posted about the rest of Turkey, but here are some pics from the rest of Turkey! The next day was probably my favorite day of the entire trip... Ephesus. Ephesus is one of the seven churches of apocalypse, in which it is spoken of in the Bible in relation to Paul and his missions. We saw the Arcadian Way, the Great Theater, the Marble Road, the Celsius Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Trojan Fountain and the Great gym. I was amazed as to how beautiful the ruins were.
Next we went to Heiropolis, to the Cotton Castles. They were gorgeous too. We were able to read from the Bible and dip our feet in the hot springs.
The last day we were in Istanbul again, where we went to the Hagia Sophia, one of the largest Mosques in the world. The architecture and art work was phenomenal. It's definitely a place that I would go back and visit again.
We were originally planning on going to Egypt, but because of security reasons we traveled in Turkey instead. At first I was a little bummed by that change in plans, but Turkey really was amazing and I am so grateful that I was able to get the chance to travel there. I hope to go visit Egypt in the future also!

NEGEV FIELD TRIP
The Negev field trip was really interesting. We first were given a lecture and tour of a little bit of a Bedouin Village. It was really interesting to learn about their culture and lifestyle, since ours is so different from their's. We also went to Tel Sheva and Tel Arad, places where Jacob, Abraham and Isaac resided. We explored the different excavations, including different temple sites and an underground cistern. It was also really great to read from the Bible about the different stories that took place in these places.

ARAB NIGHT
Arab night was a blast. The committee put on a nice dinner for the whole group. The food was delicious and it was soo fun to dress up in our arab costumes and socialize with everyone. Afterwards we went to the gym and learned some arab dances, which we actually pretty difficult, but it was soo fun.

HURVA SYNAGOGUE
PRINCESS BASMA SERVICE ACTIVITY
Here at the Jerusalem Center I'm on the Humanitarian Committee. Especially being involved with humanitarian trips and a lot of other service things with my family back home, I have loved being on this committee here. I was put in charge of the trip to a nearby preschool, Princess Basma. On one of the free days we went to the preschool and spent time with the kids. It was a lot of fun, especially having a love for kids. We played games, face painted, sang songs and colored. Since it was their last day of school, at the end of our visit, we gathered in the hallway and had a dance party. I loved every minute of it.
KOTEL TUNNEL FIELD TRIP
Another one of my favorite field trips was going to the Kotel Tunnel. It's right along one of my other favorite sites, the Western Wall. It's basically a tunnel going along the entire length of the Western Wall. It's also under the Old city part of Jerusalem. It was interesting to learn about the excavations and about the different sites underneath in the tunnel, including information about the temple back in the day.
